Privacy at a Glance

  • Your audio is processed in real-time and never stored on our servers
  • We don't sell your data to third parties
  • Transcribed text stays on your device

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address for authentication purposes. If you upgrade to Premium, Stripe processes your payment information directly—we never see or store your full credit card details.

Usage Data

We track your word count usage to enforce free tier limits (2,500 words/week). This data is associated with your account and resets weekly.

Audio Data

Your voice audio is streamed to our transcription service (powered by Groq) for real-time processing. Audio is processed immediately and is not stored or retained after transcription is complete.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide voice-to-text transcription services
  • To apply AI text cleanup to your transcriptions
  • To track usage for free tier limits
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions
  • To send important service updates (e.g., subscription renewal notices)
  • To provide customer support when you contact us

3. Data Storage and Security

Authentication: We use Supabase for secure authentication. Your password is hashed and never stored in plain text.

Payments: All payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We only store your Stripe customer ID to link your subscription.

Transcriptions: Your transcribed text is inserted directly into your active application and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. Your content remains on your device.

5. Data Retention

Account data: Retained while your account is active. You may request account deletion at any time.

Usage data: Word counts are retained to track weekly usage and reset every Monday.

Payment history: Maintained by Stripe for their standard retention period for legal and tax purposes.

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export your account data
  • Cancel your subscription at any time

7. Children's Privacy

InTheFlow is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by email or through the App. Your continued use of InTheFlow after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
